A host of Adobe software is now available at no additional cost to IU students, faculty, staff, and departments. Indiana University has entered into a groundbreaking software agreement with Adobe: the Adobe Education Enterprise License Agreement (Adobe ELA) — the first such agreement between Adobe and any university. As a pilot higher-education agreement for Adobe, this enterprise-wide agreement makes a wide range of Adobe software available to the IU community at no cost on IUware Online.
Adobe software will be available for purchase on physical media at discounted prices in early spring semester 2009. This agreement leverages IU’s capabilities in software distribution, support and training, and advances the teaching, learning, and research goals outlined in IU’s new strategic plan for information technology.
Oncourse CL will undergo a major upgrade from Wednesday, December 24, 10pm, through Wednesday, December 31, 11:59pm, to enable support for international character sets (Unicode).
Faculty who wish to make their podcasts available to the public can do so through Oncourse CL and the Indiana University iTunes U site. When IU’s iTunes U site goes public on December 19, its content will become searchable by users worldwide.
