July 30: Private Sony event for IU and other education partners
IU students, faculty, and staff: Show your IU student or employee badge, and you and a guest will get into Sony Style’s private sale. It’s closed to the public and valid in-store only, but the IU/Sony partnership means you’re eligible for considerable savings.
Keep up on IT notices and alerts with ITNow 2.0
Did you know that you can build a custom list of UITS notices about the IT services of special interest to you? ITNow 2.0 is a time-saving instant summary that you control. It delivers up-to-the-minute status reports about UITS systems, scheduled changes, scheduled down times, and outages and problems.
UITS orients new students to IT
Over the summer thousands of students will visit IU Bloomington and IUPUI for New Student Orientation. Information technology is a crucial piece of the Orientation puzzle, and UITS staff offer resources and support to help students get started.
UITS staff and vendor partner representatives offer advice and know-how to the new students who flood into Herman B Wells Library in Bloomington and the IUPUI Campus Center. UITS also has set up a special online resource for new students called “NU2IT.”
Don’t fall for fake IU email
Spammers send out millions of phishing emails trying to trick people into divulging passwords, personal information, account numbers, and more. They’ll even try to make emails and URLs seem as though they’re from Indiana University.
