For security reasons, beginning January 1, 2010, you will be required to register the wireless network card in your wireless device (the MAC address) to use the IU Secure wireless network. This will standardize registration on wired and wireless networks.

Any device that has connected to IU Secure from September 1 through December 20, 2009 will already be registered; there’s no need to re-register after January 1. Get Connected (https://getconnected.iu.edu) will also register all network devices.

Starting in 2010, any new device on the wireless network will require MAC address registration. You will receive an automatic prompt when you open a web browser for the first time, after which you will be redirected to registration at https://dhcp.iu.edu.

Until you register your computer or device, it will not be able to receive an IP address to establish a connection to the Internet.
