Restore your privacy on Facebook

Facebook recently announced major changes to its policies about which pieces of your information are publicly available.

Over the last year or so, the social networking site has provided users with increasing amounts of control over their personal information. You can now restrict almost every element on your profile to specific friends or groups of friends.

To make sure you have appropriate protections in place, spend a few minutes:

* Reading Facebook’s privacy policy at: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

* Reviewing all of your privacy settings

* Considering restricting the information and/or media (photos, videos, etc.) that you or others post about you
