The Student IT Ambassadors are two volunteer student leadership clubs (one at IU Bloomington and one at IUPUI) sponsored by University Information Technology Services (UITS). Ambassadors:

• Network with IT professionals
• Build solid resumes
• Promote UITS resources
• Get academic, professional, and leadership development opportunities
• Gain access to accomplished mentors

IUB AmbassadorsBasically, Ambassadors learn about and receive training on popular technologies (such as IU Mobile and Google applications), then help spread the word to peers across campus. We think students are a great resource to teach other students about information technology at IU, so we want you to bring your energy and excitement to this outreach.

As a Student IT Ambassador, you’ll have a hand in planning and implementing UITS promotional events and activities, and you can put your creative spark to good use in marketing campaigns and grassroots initiatives.

You’ll also help identify core messages (such as hot topics, ways to get support, and material for the IU Knowledge Base) and areas to focus future efforts.

IUPUI AmbassadorsAnd, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your leadership skills with seminars, workshops, and networking events coordinated by LEAD IU (leadiu.indiana.edu) and LEAD IUPUI (life.iupui.edu/ccl/leadership).
