In May, the UITS Research Storage Group will hold two training classes for users of the Research File System (RFS):

IU Bloomington: May 18, 2-4pm, Wells Library room 043
IUPUI: May 23, 2-4pm, University Library room 1116

Instructors will give an overview of the features of RFS, guiding participants through a series of hands-on exercises on:

  • Methods of connecting
  • Preferred applications for processing files
  • Collaborative project areas
  • Access to files shared by several people
  • Software installation on a laptop

Participants should bring a laptop (with Mac, Windows or Unix/Linux installed) on which they have administrative access. Participant laptops must be able to connect to the IU Secure wireless network.
