Secure your mobile Wi-Fi connection

Security check: Are you using the IU Secure wireless network when you’re on campus, and not AT&T wireless?

The AT&T wireless service is intended only for campus visitors. IU faculty, staff, and students should instead use the IU Secure wireless service with its wireless encryption and other security measures.

Sometimes, though, our devices appear to have minds of their own. If you have a device on an AT&T Wireless account (such as an iPhone, 3G iPad, or BlackBerry), it might automatically try to connect to the “attwifi” network rather than “IU Secure.”

No worries — you can avoid this by setting up your mobile device to connect to IU Secure automatically. To do so, see:
