Supercomputing 101

Big Red II, IU’s very own supercomputer, gives IU researchers a powerful advantage over the competition. We don’t have to share it with anybody, so our research trials run faster and our conclusions come quicker.

If you are using or plan to use this data-crunching behemoth for your research, it helps to know a bit more about how it works first. (It’s a tad fancier than your laptop.) Fortunately, we have a class for that.

What: Accelerate your science: Introduction to high performance computing (HPC)

When: Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11, 9am-4pm daily

Where: Two places!

  • Innovation Center Room 105, 2709 E. 10th St. (IU Bloomington)
  • ICTC Room 121, 535 W. Michigan St. (IUPUI)
