Knowledge Base update brings mobile-friendly design, improved search (touch for more >>)

The IU Knowledge Base — your source for all IU tech answers — has been around since 1988, when IU computer lab consultants got the idea to pool answers to common questions so they wouldn’t have to repeatedly write answers from scratch.

Since that debut, the Knowledge Base has evolved into IU’s unofficial “Oracle of Tech.” Ask it anything tech-related, and it likely knows the answer. Need to know how to access your IU email on your phone? How to securely share a file on Box? Which software IU provides fee-free? The Knowledge Base knows all of that and more.

And now, it’s better than ever. On June 15, the Knowledge Base debuted its latest version, featuring a new look, more robust and powerful search capabilities, and better integration with IU systems. It’s also mobile friendly for tablets and smartphones, and there’s even a help button.
