Umail email account issues in China

Some students in China who have IU Umail email accounts, powered by Google, are having difficulty accessing mail and Google-based services while in China. (This issue also impacts IU offices that need to reach new and existing students in China via their IU email accounts.)

Here are a couple potential workarounds for students in this situation:

  1. Set your email to forward to another email provider — here’s how >>
(If you can get into Umail, then you can also set mail forwarding from there.)
  2. See if you can access your email via One.IU — you can view your mail without re-entering your login details >>

We realize this newsletter may not reach students experiencing these email issues, so please help spread the word.
